Alex Bent is known for his precision, power, and versatility. He began in the technical death metal scene with Decrepit Birth, ARKAIK, and Brain Drill. Alex then performed with thrash pioneer Steve “Zetro” Souza in Hatriot, and later went on to play with Battlecross. He has also filled-in live for Testament and contributed to the pre-production of their album Brotherhood of the Snake.
In 2016, he joined Trivium, where he spent nine years helping shape the band’s sound, contributing to three acclaimed albums and an EP, and earned a Grammy nomination for his performance on "Betrayer" from his breakout album with the band titled The Sin and the Sentence.
Bent has also worked with artists such as Gus G., Angel Vivaldi, Mark Morton, Jeff Hughell, Dragonlord, Alterbeast, and Underling.
